Consumer Credit Counseling Service
We are the only service in the county affiliated with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), the organization for nonprofit consumer agencies. As a HUD certified housing counseling agency, our counselors have helped provide many of our clients with the tools and insight to become home owners; and counseled and provided options to those facing default or foreclosure. For a nominal fee, your credit report can be pulled upon request and a certified counselor will review and explain items on the report and assist you in disputing errors. CCCS is best known for our Debt Management Plans (DMP), assisting clients to become debt free in as little as 4 years with reduced monthly payments and interest rates. We are also approved by the Department of Justice to provide the required bankruptcy counseling.
Foreclosure Mediation
Foreclosure mediation is a great way to take a foreclosure and make it right. Through the mediation process, a lender will be able to collect the back payments it is owed and the homeowner will be able to keep his home and hopefully walk away with a more realistic mortgage payment that will prevent him from defaulting again in the future.
